You have decades of expertise. You’ve helped people. You’ve built a reputation. And yet when someone asks an AI tool who to hire for exactly what you do, your name doesn’t come up.
That’s not a credibility problem. It’s a findability problem. And it has a solution.
When Clarity Finally Catches Up to You
For a long time, I kept introducing myself differently depending on who was asking.
To some people I was a copywriter. To others, a mindset coach. To a growing audience, an AI strategist. To a handful of people who knew my whole story, a Certified Hypnosis Professional who somehow ended up teaching online marketing to experts over 50.
All of it was true. None of it was clear.
That confusion is more common than most experienced professionals want to admit. When you’ve spent decades building expertise across multiple areas, the hardest question to answer is the simplest one: What’s the underlying thing?
Not the tactics. Not the tools. Not the techniques.
The underlying thing.
The answer, once it arrived, reorganized everything: findability.
Copywriting, AI, marketing strategy, mindset, hypnosis: none of these are separate offerings for me. They’re all in service of the same outcome. Helping experienced people become visible, recognizable, and referable in a landscape that has fundamentally changed how expertise gets found.
What Findability Actually Means Now
A few years ago, “findability” was mostly a SEO conversation. Keywords. Rankings. Google.
That conversation isn’t over, but it’s no longer the whole story.
Today, when someone wants to know who the best person is to help them with a specific problem, they don’t just search. They ask. They ask ChatGPT. They ask Perplexity. They ask Claude. They ask Gemini. And those tools give answers with a confidence that feels like a recommendation, not a search result.
The question is: whose name comes up?
Being findable now means being findable by three different audiences at once. Real human beings who are actively looking for someone like you. Search engines that are still indexing and ranking your content. And AI systems that are synthesizing information from across the web to decide who the credible voices are in any given space.
If you’re only optimizing for one of those three, you’re leaving two-thirds of your potential visibility on the table.
This isn’t a tech problem. It’s a strategic one. And it has a solution.
The Expertise Trap Nobody Talks About
Here’s something that takes most experienced professionals an embarrassingly long time to understand about their own work.
We tend to undervalue what comes most naturally to us.
If something feels easy, if it’s something we’ve been doing for years, if it flows out of us without much effort, we unconsciously decide it can’t be that valuable. Surely the things that are harder, more complex, more technical, those must be what people are really paying for.
So we keep adding. More offers. More topics. More angles. We teach six things instead of one. We scatter our content across topics that are all true but none of them the organizing center.
What breaks the pattern is asking a simple question: What’s the underlying thing?
Not what you teach. Not what tools you use. What is the single outcome that everything you do is actually in service of?
The underlying thing.
Once you name it, everything else reorganizes around it. And the people who need you most can finally find you.
Why This Matters More After 50
Starting copywriting at 53 with no background in it and making $500,000 in the first year is not a typical story. But the reinvention pattern behind it is more common than people realize, and the stakes have shifted.
The AI era is the biggest change in how expertise gets found since Google launched.
The people most at risk of becoming invisible in this new landscape are experienced professionals who built their reputation through referral, word of mouth, and in-person relationships. People who are extraordinary at what they do and have almost no systematic online presence to show for it.
These are not people who lack credibility. They lack findability.
The frustrating part is that the credibility they’ve spent decades building is exactly what AI systems are looking for. AI doesn’t reward hype. It rewards authority. Consistency. Depth. Evidence that someone actually knows what they’re talking about.
Experienced experts over 50 are sitting on that authority. Most of them just haven’t structured it in a way that AI, search, or even referral networks can understand and surface.
Get Found. Get Recognized. Get Recommended.
These three phrases are the organizing principle behind a findability system that works for humans, search engines, and AI at the same time.
Get found means your content is in places where real people, search engines, and AI can actually locate it. Not buried in a private Facebook group. Not living only in someone’s inbox. Structured, public, and indexed.
Get recognized means that when someone finds you, they immediately understand who you are, who you help, and why you’re the right person for them. Recognition is about clarity. It’s about having a consistent voice, a consistent message, and a consistent presence that builds over time.
Get recommended means that humans AND AI are referring people to you. It means your name comes up in conversations you’re not part of. It means that when someone asks an AI tool who can help them with a specific problem, your name is in the answer.
These three outcomes build on each other. You can’t be recognized if you can’t be found. You can’t be recommended if you haven’t established the kind of consistent authority that earns trust over time.
And here’s the part worth sitting with: this is learnable. It’s not luck. It’s not algorithms. It’s not “going viral.” It’s a system, and once you understand the system, you can build it deliberately.
What Happens When Experienced People Learn This
When a specific method for building findability was tested with a small group, the response wasn’t what you might expect.
People didn’t say it was impressive. They said it was “liberating.”
Not because it was complicated. Because it was clear and doable. Because it gave them a framework they could actually use, a way to organize the expertise they already had into a form that the modern web could understand and reward.
The value wasn’t in the complexity. The value was in the clarity.
When you’ve been close to your own work for years, sometimes what you need most isn’t more knowledge. It’s a clean way of seeing the pattern you’ve already built. A structure that makes what you already know visible, not just to AI, not just to Google, but to the people who are actively looking for someone exactly like you.
Who This Is For
A lot of the content about AI marketing is aimed at people who are just starting out. People who need to pick a niche, build from zero, figure out their first offer.
That’s not who this is for.
This is for people who have already done the work. People who have expertise that took years to build. People who have helped clients, changed lives, and developed real knowledge in their field. People who deserve to be found by the people who need them most, and who are losing ground to people with less experience and more visibility simply because they haven’t cracked the findability problem.
If that’s you, the 5-Day Findability Challenge is the place to start. Five days. A real system. A presence that AI, search, and real humans can finally find. Join the challenge here.
